OFF ROAD GP 2009 DVD or BLU RAY

For those of you with gasoline running in your veins you will know where we are when I say Nene Valley Raceway is within earshot of Santa Pod Drag Strip.  The weather was great and held up right until the last ten minutes of the main final which made things very tricky.  I won't go any further about that so I do not spoil things.

There are three trailer videos.  The first is a QuickTime version which is HERE.  The second is a DiVX version HERE.  The last one is in iPhone format.  This is HERE so all you have to do is put it into iTunes (videos), make sure preferences is set to sync it and away you go.

The Off Road DVD is in two formats.  The usual DVD format and now in the new and greater resolution High Definition format of Blu Ray.

Distributed exclusively by
Hobbythek of Germany who are well known not only for their brilliant service to you the racer but also for their unswerving support of Large Scale racing world-wide.

On both formats you get the full three days of action on the track with slow motion stuff at very close quarters and for that we used a camera with a 18mm super wide lens, 300 to 1000 second shutter (depending on the lighting) and a frame rate of 300 frames per second (normal is 25) to make it super smooth so you see 'everything'.

The Blu Ray version will be provided on a 25 gigabyte DVD.  To make it as compatible with the hardware out there it has been done to Sony Firmware Profile 2.0
so a PS3 will work just fine.  If for some reason it does not then either by Ethernet cable or wireless connection,  upgrade the operating system in the PS3.  Blu Ray players can be upgraded wither with the ethernet connection or download the firmware from the manufacturers site and burn it to CD/DVD and follow the instructions.

One last thing.  When DVD's first came out in the nineties, blank media was very expensive.  This is the same with Blu Ray.  It has come down quite a lot in price
but needs to come down more.  Well worth it to see the action in glorious High Definition at the maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080.  Even Hollywood Studios only give you 24 frames per second (we do 25 progressive)  and if you are lucky 25,000 bitrate but more than likely 18,000 (we give you 30,000 for highest resolution available)
